I decided that I'm going to study medicine  because everyone needs a  doctor at some point, so doctors are very much in demand. To become a doctor, I will get a lot of training. In college, I am going to study courses to prepare for medicine, such as  as biology,  chemistry, and some advanced mathematics. After medical school, about one year of  internship will be  needed. All together, it is about 11 years before I will become an independent doctor.  I think that doctors will always be needed. Because of this, and because of the  population growth, doctors will always be in demand and the profession will  continue to grow.
