1.- Mitochondria are often referred to as the powerhouse of the cell. They are small structures within a cell that are made up of two membranes and a matrix.

The main job of mitochondria is to perform cellular respiration. This means it takes in nutrients from the cell, breaks it down, and turns it into energy. This energy is then in turn used by the cell to carry out various functions.

2.- Ribosomes are important because they are responsible for protein synthesis. Free ribosomes, in particular, are important because they produce proteins essential for internal cellular activity, which are not synthesized elsewhere.

verockala: Function of Cytoplasm. The jelly-like fluid that fills a cell is called cytoplasm. It is made up of mostly water and salt. Cytoplasm is present within the cell membrane of all cell types and contains all organelles and cell parts. ... Cytoplasm is responsible for giving a cell its shape.
verockala: 4.- You will find organelles called lysosomes in nearly every animal-like eukaryotic cell. Lysosomes hold enzymes that were created by the cell.
verockala: The purpose of the lysosome is to digest things.
