Hay cuatro tipos de oraciones comunes en el inglés. Cada tipo de oración tiene un propósito diferente:
para hacer afirmaciones (oractiones declarativas)
para hacer preguntas (oraciones interrogativas)
para dar órdenes, sugerencias, advertencias (oraciones imperativas)
para expresar emociones fuertes con oraciones afirmativas (oraciones exclamatorias)
afirmaciones:
We will go to the beach on August.
I saw you in the bus.
This fish is from the Pacific Ocean.
My car is in my yard.
Pale and bright, the moonlight was over the forest.
Runing into the hall, Charlie broke the vase.
interrogativas:
Are you sure they live here?
When did she arrive?
He has a new girlfriend, hasn't he?
What do you think about the new president?
Would you like to travel to India?
Have you watched the movie I talked about?
imperativas:
Wait outside. (Espera afuera)
Come back later. (Regresa más tarde)
Sit there. (Siéntate allí)
Leave the bags there. (Deja las bolsas allí)
Let me talk with her. (Déjame hablar con ella)
Tell him about it. (Dígale al respecto)
Open the door. (Abra la puerta)
Close the door. (Cierre la puerta)
EXCLAMATIVAS
Mary back home yesterday. Let’s visit her!
