The China Flag has five yellow stars on a red background.

The Gentry - this class was made up of the ruling class, the bureaucrats and public servants which attained their positions based on the meritocratic exams for the most part, although this class was also more or less hereditary
The Farmers or peasantry - in a mostly agrarian society, this class was very important as they were the base for the production of goods for the benefit of the society
The Artisans - this was the working class that created products from other products.
The Merchants - they were the traders that did not directly produce anything for the society but were the ones that distributed the goods.
The four smaller stars surrounding the larger star represent the unity of the Chinese people under the leadership of the Party and their golden color represent the yellow race of the Chinese people.
