The world in 50 years will be very different from what we know now.
Remote communication will be more similar to what we have when we speak in person. What we will not be able to communicate are smells or taste. Everything else is going to be closer to reality and surely there will be holograms or images very similar to one.
And the cards are not going to exist anymore, the wallets either, but I also think that the phones are going to be less important. Everything is going to happen through the wrist, or through the iris of the eye, or with the fingerprint, which is the easiest and fastest, and very difficult to fake.
