1. Her job is really cool.

This is implying that she is still at her job. If she had already left, and you are talking about her in the past tense, then it would be "Her job was really cool."

2. Where were you at 8:30 last night?

You will need the past tense term for are, which would be "were".

3. I am here, but I can't see you.

This implies the present-tense, because generally "but I can't see you" is used while the person was at the place. If it was past-tense, then it would be "I was here, but I didn't see you."

4. She was a teacher for years before she started writing a blog.

This is a past-tense, for note that 1) "teacher for years", which implies the past, as well as "before", which also hints at the past. This makes it so that you will write "was" as in past term.

5. They are in my class at school.

This is a present-tense, for it implies what is occurring then. In no place in the sentence does it imply that it was past-tense.

6. The airline was so nice to me last week.

Note the "last week". This implies past tense. This means that was is your answer.

7. Are you OK?

This is self explanatory, for it helps complete the question. It is also the only one that makes it grammatically correct.

8. Is he still at the cafe?

This is assuming that he is still there, which is why you use Is (Present-tense). If he isn't, then it'll be answered in past-tense. If he still is, it will be answered in present-tense.
