Hi, I'm frida kalho and my real name is Magdalena Carmen Frida Kahlo Calderón, I was born in Coyoacán, July 6, 1907, I was a Mexican painter. My life was marked by the misfortune of polio and then by a serious accident in my youth that kept me bedridden for long periods, reaching to undergo up to 32 surgeries.3 Take an unconventional life. My pictorial work revolves thematically around my biography and my own suffering. I was the author of some 200 works, mainly self-portraits, in which I project my difficulties to survive. my work and that of her husband, the renowned painter Diego Rivera, influenced each other. We both share a taste for Mexican folk art with indigenous roots, inspiring other Mexican painters of the postrevolutionary period.

In 1939 I exhibited my paintings in France thanks to an invitation from André Breton, who tried to convince me that they were "surrealists", although I said that this tendency did not correspond to my art, since I did not paint dreams but my own life.
