He works as a geology lab technician in an oil company. They look for the best places to drill
He isn't a lot of time in the oil field. He is usually in front of a computer processing infomation of the samples they
take from the drilling process.
He uses a microscope to examine the samples. He looks for traces of hydrocarbonsor fossils that sie im information
about the age of the rock. He also operates underwater cameras and machinery that colec rock sampes ne does all
this from his workstation inside the lab.
He needs to know the characteristics of the rocks they find. He has to be good at seeing mines in three dimensions
and also to know what all the data means.
He usually works with 2 other people. a seismic interpreter and a reservoir engineer
He usually works from 9 am to 4 pm. But when there is a problem, he stays more time​
