El uso de las expresiones there is y there are dan a entender la existencia o no-existencia de las cosas; el equivalente español sería "Hay" o "No hay"

Ejemplo:

- There are lots of people / Hay mucha gente

Utilizamos There is (There isn't en caso de ser negativo) para oraciones con objetos en singular y There are (There aren't en caso de ser negativo) para oraciones con objetos en plural

Las respuestas al ejercicio serían:

  1. b)
  2. a)
