If Mr.Dickens wants to change original square plots for just one plot, also square, with the same total original area. Then the side of the new plot Mr.Dickens wants is 90 m long.

area of a square = side^2

plot 1 = 40^2 = 1600 m^2

plot 2 = 56^2 = 3136 m^2

plot 3 = 58^2 = 3364 m^2

total area = 1600 m^2 +3136 m^2+3364 m^2 = 8100 m^2

New plot = 8100 m^2

8100 m^2  = side^2

Side = 90 m
