HOW TO PREPARE SUSHI FROM DIFFERENT FLAVORS
INGREDIENTS
1 large cup of rice for sushi
1 cup of water
75 mL rice vinegar
3 spoonfuls of sugar
Salt
2 sheets of dehydrated nori seaweed
2 cucumbers
1 avocado cut into slices
150 g salmon, previously thawed
150 g cream cheese
1 handle
3 tablespoons ginger in vinegar
1/2 teaspoon wasabi
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Rinse the rice in cold water and drain. Put it to cook in a pot with lid and when it boils, lower the heat to the minimum for 10 minutes. Let rest five more minutes.
2. Heat the vinegar 20 seconds in the microwave and dissolve the sugar and salt. Add it to the rice, mix and cover with a damp cloth so it does not dry out.
3. Peel a cucumber and cut very thin slices with a peeler, and the other in strips. Eliminate the seeds. Cut the avocado into strips.
4. Place a sheet of seaweed, leaving the rough side up; Put some rice on the top with your hands wet and spread along the sheet of seaweed to cover completely and, finally, the sesame seeds. Take one end to go around on the bamboo mat covered with film. Arrange the ingredients lengthwise in the center and roll very carefully pressing with fingers to form a cylinder, compact well with your hands so that it is tight and part in about eight pieces.
5. If you are going to make rolls covered with mango, cucumber or avocado, repeat the same operation and, when you turn the rice covered seaweed, first arrange the cucumber, mango or avocado on the surface and cover first with the film to shape and then the mat to press on each side, giving a square shape.
6. Lift the mat and cut, pressing with the film so that the cover does not come off.
Chunky Pancakes
1 cup all-purpose flour
3 teaspoons baking powder (or a sachet of Royal)
1/4 teaspoon salt
3/4 cup skimmed milk
3 tablespoons butter, melted
2 eggs
1 tablespoon white sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 large banana, cut into small slices
1/2 cup miniature semisweet chocolate chips
1/4 cup chopped pecans or walnuts
Method
Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the skimmed milk, melted butter, eggs, sugar, and vanilla. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and gently stir in the wet ingredients.
Fold in the banana, chocolate chips, and nuts.
Add a ¼ cupful to an oiled large frying pan over a medium heat
Cook until bubbles appear on the surface, flip and cook until browned on the other side.
Panqueques Chunky

Método
