* Apurímac River: Apurímac River arises as an outlet of Lake Villafro in the province of Arequipa, in Peru, not far from the village of Cailloma. The Apurímac is part of the headwaters of the Amazon, and it is the headwater that rises closest to the Pacific Ocean. The Apurimac flows in a northerly direction through a mountainous country to join the Mantaro River to form the Ene River.
* Amur River: The Amur River is located on the border of China and Russia and is a major waterway in the northeastern part of Asia. It’s Chinese name is Heilung Jiang which translates to Black Dragon River. The Amur River is formed by the junction of the Shilka River, which rises in the Russian Federation, and the Argun River, which rises in Manchuria.
* Aras River: Aras River is a river that passes through Turkey, Armenia, Azerbaijan, and Iran. The Russian name of the Aras is Araks. Its ancient name is Araxes. Artaxata was the capital of Armenia from 180 BC to 50 AD and itwas located on an island of the river. The Aras rises in Turkey south of the city Erzurum. It flows mostly eastward for around 1070 km (665 miles) through dry and desolate countryside.
* Yamuna River: Yamuna River (also known as Jumna), is the major tributary of the Ganges River. The 1,376 km long Yamuna flows solely through India, crossing three states: Uttarakhand, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana. The Yamuna also flows part of the border between the states of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand and later on its course between the states of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh.
