El past simple (pasado simple) se utiliza para expresar hechos que ocurrieron solo una vez en el pasado, varias veces o fueron verdad en el pasado pero que ahora están concluidas.

¿Como usar el pasado simple?

Para los verbos regulares, la terminación del pasado simple es -ed, por ejemplo:

• enjoy / enjoyed
• happen / happened

Para los verbos irregulares, existe una forma especial de pasado simple, por ejemplo:

• go / went
• be / was/were
• Write / wrote

Para los negativos se usa didn't más el verbo, pero no cambia el verbo a la forma pasada.

• They didn't go to school.
