While long ago in the square July 9, until her daughter leaves school, a young man from Castañares neighborhood, recalls some sad passages of his life, which at an early age has found violence.
"I am a victim of family violence," he says at the beginning of the story. He got the girlfriend at 15 years old. There was no possibility for her to enjoy her pregnancy. I hit him. She wanted to think that this "bad mood" would soon pass.
Time passed and a girl was born. Two months after the arrival of that baby it separates. The straw that broke the glass was that he hit the baby. That was no longer tolerable for her. "I said no, no, no and no," he says.
The young girl, now mom, left home and returned to live in the family.
Once I made the decision it was reduced.
As it is in many of these cases, he began to insist on a reconciliation, to look for it tirelessly. I swore there was
changed and that he wanted her. But one day so many of those who went looking for her hit her mom and broke her hand. He had not changed, although he tired of swearing otherwise.
She went back to school. He did not give up and he was going to look for her at school. "He would not leave me alone!" Says the young woman emphatically. But she remained firm. There were no more opportunities for him.
Their daughter is now 11 years old. She was able to rebuild her life and now she is the mother of an 11 month old baby. His ex-husband appears once a year, to see his daughter, with whom he has a scant but good relationship.
The young woman returned to form a family. He says he is happy to have had the courage to put an end to a sad story. Now she is very happy, in love with her current partner and enjoying much more of that baby, whom she can raise in a better, more pleasant and healthy context.
She, who preferred to preserve her identity for security reasons, had the intelligence and strength to say enough. Before he tolerated many things, many humiliations and mistreatments. Therefore, without being asked, he wanted to advise other women, victims of gender violence and family violence: "To those who are living realities similar to the one I had to go to, I would tell them to stay away from the person what hurts them Be brave. The first attitude of violence should reach to make the decision. There are many good people and one does not have to resign oneself to live in pain ".
