Every year, the festival of the Sun of June is celebrated by Peruvians in 24th. The Ican festival was prohibited in the 16th century by the Spanish conquerors. However, the writings of "El Inca" from 1940 was written by a half-conquerors and half-Incan poet, the Festival of the Sun and it's traditions were revived by him. Today, colourful exhibitions, live concerts, traditioal dances and activities where actors and singers bring the past life are offered by the festival. After Río Carnaval, this is the biggest festival in Latin America.

Sin embargo, los escritos de "El Inca" de 1940 fueron escritos por un poeta mitad conquistador y mitad inca, el Festival del Sol y sus tradiciones fueron revividas por él.
