a₁ = 3/2 + √5/2

a₂ = 3/2 - √5/2


M = (a² + a⁻²)/(a³ - a⁻³)


M₁ = (a₁² + a₁⁻²)/(a₁³ - a₁⁻³)

M₁ = (a₁² + 1/a₁²)/(a₁³ - 1/a₁³)


a₁² = (3/2 + √5/2)² = 9/4 + 3√5/2 + 5/4 = 7/2 + 3√5/2

a₁³ = (3/2 + √5/2)³ = (3/2 + √5/2)(7/2 + 3√5/2) = 21/4 + 9√5/4 + 7√5/4 + 15/4 = 9 + 4√5


M₁ = (7/2 + 3√5/2 + 1/(7/2 + 3√5/2)/(9 + 4√5 - 1/(9 + 4√5))
