Katy Perry
Katheryn Elizabeth Hudson, better known as Katy Perry, was born in
California, USA on October 25th 1984. Her singing career started when she was
just a teenager, when she decided to pursue fame as a gospel singer. She signed
a contract with a record label named Red Hill Records and released her first
album in 2001, which wasn’t successful. After that, she moved to Los Angeles
and started working with many producers. In 2008, after signing a contract with
Capitol Records, she became famous thanks to her single “I Kissed a Girl” and
from that point on, she has topped the U.S. Billboard hot 100 charts with
singles like “Teenage and Dream” and “The One That Got Away” and many more. She
has been considered one of the most successful singers of all time, selling
more than 100 million records worldwide since her career began.

biography of Miguel Hidalgo
Miguel Hidalgo y Costilla was born in Guanajuato on May 8, 1753. His parents were Cristóbal Hidalgo y Costilla and Ana María Gallaga. At age 17 he became a teacher of Philosophy and Theology. In 1778 he was ordained Priest.
In the early hours of September 16, 1810, he launched the famous "Cry of Sorrows" haranguing the people to take up arms and fight against the Spaniards who supported Joseph Bonaparte as the new King of Spain.
The priest Hidalgo led a patriot army and organized a government in Guadalajara. Here he decreed the abolition of slavery and abolished Indian tributes. But the realists recovered positions and they defeated him in the battle of Bridge of Calderón (17 of January of 1811). Hidalgo tried to escape to the United States, but was captured. He died shot in Chihuahua on July 30, 1811.
