Amigo guerrillero, jamás pensé encabezar una carta con este título y hoy me siento orgulloso y feliz de haber entendido con el paso de este proceso de paz que el título guerrillero es como todo título: un apodo más que no define la esencia de lo que somos. No sé si esta carta llegue realmente a ningún guerrillero (soy de la ciudad y pocas veces he visto uno). Si llega estaré muy feliz, y si no también. Solo escribirla es ya un ejercicio de paz conmigo mismo. No sé tu nombre ni de dónde eres ni cual es tu historia para haber terminado detrás de un fusil matando a tus hermanos, pero sé que en el fondo no quisiste terminar en estas. Todos somos culpables de tu destino. Nosotros los de la ciudad hemos sido crueles e injustos con el campo y te pido disculpas por eso. Yo voté Sí y siempre lo haré. Voy a respaldar todo intento de apagar el fuego de las pistolas y volver al arado y la cosecha. Te pido disculpas por mis hermanos citadinos que no supieron perdonar… los entiendo también pues son muchos años de violencia y volver a confiar es un ejercicio muy difícil, pues nacimos en un país en guerra, así que imagínate lo difícil que es darle la oportunidad a la paz. Espero por el bien de todos que este proceso de alguna u otra forma logre devolverles a ustedes los que están matándose sin sentido una nueva oportunidad de hacer lo que les gusta, de bailar, reír, comer, jugar, tener una familia, como cualquier ser humano. Me gustaría tenerte al frente para darte un fuerte abrazo… espero que en la distancia se sienta.
