Why don't you invite your schoolmates to a party? Then you can also go to a gym and meet people from other places. Or you can go to a club and play your favorite sport.
You can improve your conversation skills talking with people in the street or in the bus queue. You can also go to a drama school. Or you can go to the park and walk your dog and talk tyo people with other dogs, you have something in common. There surely you are going to meet lots of people.
